This year the Rainbow Regiment attended the Jefferson County Band Jamboree and participated in two local and one out-of-state marching competitions.
The first competition was held in Gadsden, Alabama; the second competition was in Homewood; and the final competition of the season was the Southern Marching Invitational in Marietta, Georgia.
Fultondale has participated in every competition available since invitations began to be extended to local bands in 1984.
May 10 was the Spring Fine Arts Night at FHS. The Band opened their show with the theme song from "Hawaii Five-0". Next they played "The Devil Went Down to Georgia", narrated by Coach Hughes. Mr. Gillespie then showed appreciation to his seniors by recognizing each of them with a plaque.
